Welcome, lovers of story! I’m Kathryn Budig, author, co-host of the podcast Free Cookies, founder of Haus of Phoenix, The Inky Phoenix book club, and Inky Phoenix Press.

My love for books runs deep. Bookstores were my favorite place to visit as a child, I received a double major in English Literature and Drama from the University of Virginia, and I went on to author The Women's Health Big Book of Yoga and Aim True. My most recent work was published in Zosia Mamet’s anthology, My First Popsicle, but my true loves have yet to meet the world — I too write fiction, and long to see it in published form. I co-host Free Cookies with my wife (and author!), Kate Fagan, where we banter and interview notables such as Madeline Miller, TJ Klune, George M. Johnson, and Emily St. John Mandel. Plus, we have the cutest rescue pup in the world: Ragnar Ashison.
